Blue Sky Beijing

SANY0017-1.JPG
Another beautiful day in (the workers') paradise.

We've been having a glorious early spring in Beijing with a series of clear days, temperatures in the low 60s (or mid teens, depending on your orientation). With only five months to go before you-know-what, the rumor mils have started grinding. Apart from the speculation about how the cerulean skies have been achieved, there's now a persistent rumor that the alternate odd/even license plate days that were tried last summer will be enforced as early as June. Makes one wonder though how this will affect all those princelings (or whoever they are) whose Porche Carreras and Audi 6s (black, heavily tinted windows) are conspicuous for their complete absence of any plates at all. Not at all, probably.
