Clearly what Mr. Bao said is nothing new. He is that kind of die-hard liberalist who know nothing but liberalism. Unfortunately now in China he is already nobody...
And when he labelled what happen in China "fake", there maybe is only one thing "genuine" for him in his mind - the democracy and capitalism of USA. So he may even think the democracy of UK, Japan, Germany are also somewhat "fake".
Maybe he is praising the PAD protesters in Thailand who successfully occupied Bankok International Airport, pinned down the primier and
installed a new one they favoured, and wondering - when will that Thai style "genuine" democracy come true one day in China?
The problem of the CCP in China is, maybe, that the party is not big enough (only some 80 million memebers now). When the party become big enough, say, with 1 billion party members, which means anyone of legel voting age in China will automatically be given a CCP membership, then that will be a totally new form of democracy in the world, "with China characteristics". Then by that time, "save the party" means "save the country" and "save the people".

Hi, John2008obama, nice to see you again after your sweet holiday. Wish you and everyone here a happy new year.

"But there are a few others like Bao who cross over the invisible boundaries without hesitation"---That's the sticking point!

Bao deserves to be respected and admired due to his courage to say the truths, not his comprehension and cognition of those truths.

“No matter if it is a white cat or a black cat; as long as it can catch mice, it is a good cat.”

No matter if it is protein or melamine; as long as it seems profitable, it is good milk.

Sounds like a hot topic for some one from China...
