Exploding Stomachs
As a rule we don't post signs in peculiar English as they mostly fall into the "aren't the natives charmingly dopey" patronization and anyway are well covered elsewhere. Like all good rules, however, it is made to be broken, particularly when the sign below is A) exactly the same, word for word in Chinese and B) priceless. For anyone who wants to experience the stomach exploding patties, the restaurant is on Gongti NanLu in Beijing.

The spacing and color turns out to be significant. "Explode the stomach (爆肚)" is the name of a dish: http://imgsrc.baidu.com/baike/pic/item/9e7ce6dc5b349eb2cd1166ec.jpg

Are you sure 'Exploding Stomachs' is the correct translation? Could it be Bursting Stomachs? I agree the difference is very small and subtle, but it is a difference nevertheless. http://www.winnowed.blogspot.com

The correct translation is "explode the stomach" as says in the sign. If it is on the sign, it must be right, and the only officially sanctioned translation.
By the way, the coloring of the Chinese text and the English don't match. "Explode" is in red and "The Stomach" is in green, while the whole phrase is in green in Chinese.

Guys, I think 肚, when refering to cuisine, in chinese means stomach, while 爆 probably refers to stir-fried or spicy flavored, the way of the smtomachs got cooked.
