"the act of discriminating itself is uncivilized, which happens in the West and is the topic of this blog piece; even if China is a barbarian society, any discrimination against ethic Chinese because of that would be unacceptable."

Ah, since Chinese discriminates, this gives great justification to all Americans to discriminate against Chinese, just like Bush invaded Iraq justifies Chinese armies killing its own people by the thousands, and the Chinese government starving tens of millions of its own people. And since Chinese don't want human rights and freedom, the human rights for not being discriminated at is all gone. Since you gave up you freedom of speech, you can't say anything against that too.

"If you do not even understand the basic principles of human rights, how do you have cheek promoting human rights in China???"

Don't put words in my mouth. I only promote human rights in other nations, not China. Chinese don't want rights and freedom and I respect their choice, and therefore they should not have any. If Chinese are not prepare to fight for human rights and freedom, don't expect anyone else to promote it for you. People need to be able to handle freedoms and rights. Like Jackie Chan said, freedom for Chinese means trouble. Chinese will make a mess if they are free to do what they want, and therefore should not have freedoms and rights. And without freedoms and rights, democracy is impossible for Chinese too.

So, don't flatter yourself. You will not, never, have human rights or freedom. And no one will ever promote that for you.

chinabriefing:

Maybe you will be disappointed. Conscience is still at here. Seems I never met you before and have no any bout with you, but you are still aiming at me and fouling me after my months' absence. So you may not be a new comer but perhaps wearing a new waistcoat.

I roughly catched a glimpse of your comments. Despite your inurbane words, I still appreciate and cherish your courage and candor to blame the CCP and the evils happening in
China. Keep working!

sing666 you are a pathetic spy. Stop looking up Canada - the CIA shares intel with the Canadians. Go back to your post now.

conscienceinchina is really the only nutcase that deserves to be banned here. Fenqing are human and can be converted. This object is more Orcish and belongs in the Lord of the Rings.

Nor are the Japanese systematically disciminated against. Fenqing evidently don't know Obama was elected President too, even when my favorite fascist party, the Republican Party, was calling him a monkey and a terrorist (but incomparable to Chinese people who are extremely racist - look at what they call their fellow Asians).

Indeed, you can't buy civilization with money and power. The formula is simple: CCP = evil for the West. But CCP = China for these fenqing. So these fenqing will always think the West perceive them as evil and inferior, when in fact they don't realize even normal Chinese people think these fenqing need to be controlled by Jackie Chan and the Great Green Dam.

John, sing666 is actually a CIA spy. You probably mean the other two fenqing who are overseas Chinese and haven't been back to their "home country" for decades. They are selfish cowards who won't give up their high standards of living in the West, pretend they are very patriotic (nationalistic in fact) and make the whole Chinese race stink because of their barbarism. They don't care about philosophical morality, they know no history, they don't read up current affairs, they think they are infallible and they are subconsciously racist. They also have an inferiority complexity based on their lack of individual achievement and seek solace in the 'collective nationalistic pride'. This a fenqing. I believe China blog is the first time they have come into contact with a 'foreigner' even as they live in a foreign country.

"The only way that oversea Chinese will not suffer discrimination is to build a strong and powerful China."

Dutch people are not discriminated against, except in China. Netherland is probably the strongest and most powerful of all countries. Swiss are not discriminated against, except in China. And Switzerland can beat up China at any time, with their pinkies.

No. Being civilized is the way to do that. Behaviors and intelligence of sing666, etc. provide great temptation to discriminate against Chinese.

"However, what you said is not entirely the same with my personal experience." But that doesn't count. It is not from the "trusted source". Only CCP knows what is the truth and can tell you the truth.

"The CCP have smart people too, my friend." And sing666 is as smart as they get, and that's pretty good for people who can believe what CCP says.

bylooker, I'm referring to your comment #4. I think you have argued reasonably. However, what you said is not entirely the same with my personal experience. It is true that people of Chinese heritage who grow up in the West usually experience more discrimination than descendants of European migrants. But it has very little to do with whether China is poor or rich, or whether it is a democratic or a communist country. Where I grew up, people around me knew very little about Asia, let alone China. It is usually ignorance, rather than ideological differences, that motivates a sector of a community to discriminate against its minority groups. However, as more migrants from China are settling in the West and as a result of improved communications and more frequent trade contacts, new generations of Chinese migrants in the West are less likely to be the target of systematic discrimination. So my 13-year-old niece's experience of growing up as an Australian born Chinese is very different from that of her parents.
Only a very small fraction of overseas Chinese will choose to become "whiter" or to abandon their cultural heritage as a way of coping with discrimination. It is because this coping strategy does not work and will backfire. The majority of us will learn to accept our differences, and work from there. That's why we stay close together as a family in the process of integrating into the wider community. This strategy works well for my generation of overseas Chinese. It will change dramatically for my niece and her generation, as Australian is forging stronger links with its Asian neighbours.

Please forgive my poor "Comprehension skills" in English. I don't know whether you are refering to me or not, when you say:"I think you and 2morrow are the only guys around here who suffer from this massive inferiority complexity. You are deeply brainwashed by your ethnical pride and nationalism. bla, bla, bla..."
