Daily commentary about China by TIME correspondents.

Our New Design: Comments and Answers

An answer to some queries on the new design from our tech honchos in New York.

The RSS feed apparently is designed to only display a few lines and that won't --and can't because of the design of the reader itself-- change. For the commenter who didn't like clicking back and forth between posts, it seems the advantage of getting more posts visible trumps that disadvantage. Sorry.

Regarding C.A. Yeung's queries, some of the changes have been implemented and as to the rest, here's the answer: The comments display is being worked on some more to add better pagination and other items. The changes will be live by next week.

Can you at least change the text color of the title "The China Blog" so that the page is less red ?

    • 1.1

Such red is the colour of blood, not Commies' blood, but the blood of people massacred by the CCP!

Can you please not post the CCP Chinese flag next to "The China Blog"? The flag does not represent Taiwan, theoretically a part of China. It is also misleading for fenqing nationalists who might mistake TIME for Xinhua or their fascist enclaves of extremism.

    • 2.1

The flag does not represent Taiwan, nor mainland China. No one has ever elected CCP as the ruler. They seized and maintains the power by violence and slaughter. The bloody flag is against China's culture and tradition.

The RSS feed only displays a few lines and can't change because of the design of the Reader?!?
So, why can I read (in Google Reader) complete posts from other feeds, and can't from this blog?!?

...and what about a "junk filter" to moderate filthy commentaries? (cf. my previous post on this topic)

The rose of a lyrical verse.

    Singing in
    chorus I hear
    in the sky
    the delicate
    verse of fugitive
    young fowls,
    and there, in
    the sound
    of a large farm,
    the fall of
    a leaf near of
    a wooded desire.
