Spot The Parody

Proving that some things are possibly beyond satire, here's a question: Was the headline and blurb below taken from a real English-language Chinese paper or from the Onion parody?

Lucky ethnic minorities let good times roll

The 55 ethnic minorities of China have been benefiting from decades of kindness and generosity by the ethnic minority policy. The benefits they have to savor exist not just in one area of life, but also in all areas of life.

Nah. This is a quote from a real web page. The answer is the address of that page. It is best settled by Google. And the answer is: (drum roll please)

      John Smith,

You spoil the fun. How can you conspire with Google to defame a reputable non-nationalistic non-tabloid publication? Surely, garbles like the one quoted by Simon Elegant can only exist in a fictional parody site, such as Seedstore dot com.

Thanks for link. Now I know why I lost my appetite on my supper.

  • 3

And where's Wumao? Hope Simon will sing and quote more "harmonious" tones so we can leave our eyes quieter.

    • 3.1

Wumao below, aren't you a walking corpse looked like having a life?

  • 4

People you call Wumao like me have a life...
I could not figure how you guys have so many spare time a day posting all these shit...
since you guys cannot do any real harm to the China, the best thing you can do it to come here and commit group "oral masturbation"...
I can see how "high" you are in this ecstasy.
Simon is probably born out of this type of activity since he is such a born-master...
    hahahahahahahaha

Simon never dares to reveal some details of Chinese minority policy. He never presents any statistics. The only "evidence" he has is some one said something taged with "he/she does not want to tell his/her name". Simon does not do any further investigation into what is said because it sells very well to at least some who can not distinguish rumors from facts. What he does here is using his advantage as a native English speaker to mispresent and abuse another nation. To produce some "truth" that is based on no facts or evidence.

As a journalist crossing the line and presenting one's own biased opinion as facts to your readers is very unethical, Simon.

Simon is a malicious liar! He must be a Fa lungong! Everyone knows he's in our great capital Beijing, he's on our hands! I call on our comrades to murder him, or kidnap him then torture and excruciate him as our routine, instead of fighting him here to no avail, right?

  • 7

When did China murder, kidnap, torture and excruciate any journalist??? Who, where, when???

    Lying again.

  • 8

Wumao, stop to confuse conceptions any more! Anytime is your master CCP who murders, massacres, loots, kidnaps, persecutes, tortures and excruciates Chinese people, NOT CHINA! You are neither Chinese nor human being! You are just a hangdog flunky of the Communism which is "a ghost loafing in the air of Europe". Is a Jackal of the "European spook" human or Chinese?

To a blind and deaf mad dog, no one has been killed by the CCP!

  • 9

conscienceinchina as he claimed is a typical "blind and deaf mad dog".

Conscienceinchina's ZERO toleration of positive view of CCP amazed me. I never saw anybody in my 10 year internet-life so extreme.

    • 9.1

While in death struggle, 邓贵大 said to 邓玉娇: "Your ZERO toleration of positive care of CCP amazed me. I never saw anybody in my 10 year officail-life so extreme."

  • 10

    Simon,

Considering there are 55 ethnic minorities in China. If only 1 or 2 ethnic minorities have difficulties in keeping up with China's path of development (modernization) it is fair to say "Lucky ethnic minorities let good times roll"

  • 11

Come on quote more from your Epoch Time.

  • 12

China-bashing clan's list of pro-China or pro-CCP media is getting longer.

But they should really ask themselves this question:

Why more and more people, including those run media, are becoming more and more pro-China or pro-CCP, whereas the China-bashing clan, which primarily consists of pathetic jobless refugees who have proved to be losers in almost every place they've set their feet on (China or the west), is becoming more and more isolated?

Too bad that this group of people still lives their life with a delusion that they are on side with the majority of the Chinese people.

The truth of fact is, they are not!

And that makes them even more pathetic, as a group of losers!

  • 13

    conscienceinchina:

You apparently left your conscience in china or somewhere else if you ever had one. You sound much like a FLG follower (or instigator). Personally I do not like the CCP much, but I like FLG much less. FLG is a handful of losers who hire homeless/illegals/minimum wagers to sell pure propaganda materials worldwide and fabricating anything that could make CCP look worse than it is already.

    Simon:

I don't see any problem with the quote there. Is the English you are laughing at or something else wrong? The statement is mostly true if you know anything about China's minority policies. I read else where in the web that people call it: Affirmative Action Plus (AA+), if you are familiar with the AA policy in the US. While in the US whites and others complain about the AA, but in China, the Han Chinese accept this as part of life and don't complain. Ironic? You need to learn more while you are there, Simon!

  • 15

it's ironic that the fenqing here often talk so much about jobless refugees with so much spare time.

i have just flicked through their CIA records before they became spies for the USA and it shows that they paid taxes at the lowest band. One was a construction worker and another was a waiter in a Chinese restaurant in China town. The rest have been unemployed since they graduated from primary school that they couldn't afford half the time. No wonder they have to work for foreign governments and incite universal hatred on their own race by behaving like orcs and trolls.

China-US Economic and Strategic Dialogue opens

The China-US Strategic and Economic Dialogue (S&ED), the first of its kind between the world's biggest developing country and biggest developed country, opened on Monday in Washington.

The US was urged to maintain dollar stability and to protect China's assets. Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan also reprimanded the U.S. to stop interfering in China's own affairs. He said, "China and the U.S. are in the same boat...the U.S. must stop rocking the boat and hurting the feelings of the Chinese people."

Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo added, "The U.S. is very free...too free. Now your economy go bad...very bad. Like us, control, many control. Control good for Chinese peoples. If no control they go Taiwan and be hanjians. Also, stop hurt my feelings. I easily hurt."

U.S. Secretary of State Hilary Clinton congratulated the Chinese for their efforts in scamming the Chinese people and shipping money off to the U.S. She also expressed gratitude for their control of the Chinese people.

She said in her opening remarks that "the greatest humanitarian achievement in humanity is the success by which the Chinese government has kept the Chinese people in control and within their own country. We should applaud this great leap of mankind...that has allowed for the progress of humanity. A world inhabited by free peoples except the Chinese is the common aspiration of all peoples."

The dialogue continues tomorrow and will likely involve more officials inputing on methods to continue depriving the Chinese of their freedom and keeping them in control.
